My father and I have lived in the same house for over 30 years. This is the house I was raised in since childhood. About 10 years ago my father decided to mortgage the house for renovations. He had always made his payments on time. But, in the spring of 2005, he fell severely ill and was diagnosed with kidney problems and congestive heart failure. He suffered a heart attack and was unable to work.
We were behind on payments and facing certain foreclosure…not to mention all kinds of legal fees from attorneys and the city. Mike was very understanding of our situation and even showed up at the hospital and expressed concerns for my father.That meant the world to me. The next 24 hours were critical. We were not sure Dad would live or die. It is now more than a month later. The house is gone, the stress is removed and my father is feeling better. I am grateful to Mike and his company for taking a load off our family.
